Clarion ends Lady Elkers season

ST. MARYS – The Ridgway girls clawed back from a six-point fourth quarter deficit to take the lead by one before Clarion scored the final six points in their 41-36 District 9 Class A fifth-place semifinal win on Monday at SMAHS.
The loss ends the season for the 13-11 Lady Elkers, who were looking to make a second-straight appearance in the PIAA playoffs. The 11-14 Lady Bobcats will play Port Allegany, 45-41 over Northern Potter, for the final of the five Class A playoff spots.
