RIDGWAY--From California to just down the street, Alumni returned to Ridgway to once again gather with fellow high-school classmates for the Homecoming week in Ridgway.

After cheering on the victorious Ridgway Elkers in their defeat of the Punxsy Chucks on Friday night, the group came together once again for a reunion dinner and dance at the Royal Inn.

The evening is not just about getting together with old friends, however. The Ridgway Alumni Association, through fundraising efforts such as the reunion and tours of the school, helps sponsor Scholarships for graduating seniors each year. From 50/50 to basket raffles and the cost of the tickets for the reunion, all profits are put into the scholarship fund.

After a wonderful dinner provided by Ed LaValle and the staff of the Royal Inn, Diane Prechtl Colgan led the gathered alumni through the evening which featured talks from distinguished alumni as Commissioner Fritz Lecker and Elk County Historical Society local historian Bob Imhoff, attendees at the dinner enjoyed the sounds of the band "One Last Breath" featuring RHS alumni.

The organizers would like to thank all of the attendees at the reunion and are already planning next year, where they will be first presenting a "Distinguished Alumni" award to one of their fellow classmates.
