RIDGWAY--The Ridgway Area School District (RASD) Governing Board will hold a meeting seeking public comment on their proposal to eliminate the current Occupation Tax on Tuesday, May 4, beginning at 6 p.m. at the Francis S. Grandinetti Elementary School cafeteria.

The RASD Governing Board announced their plan to place a referendum question on the fall general election ballot to eliminate the Occupation Tax in the District several months ago. This public meeting will be an opportunity for taxpayers to voice their questions or concerns about the proposed Occupational Tax Elimination question that may be placed on the General Election Ballot for November 2. The Governing Board will take a final vote on the proposal at the June full board meeting.
