JOHNSONBURG--The Johnsonburg Farmers' and Artisans' Market (JFAM) returned to the outside venue for the Wednesday event, with the Johnsonburg Borough Council approving the closure of Market Street for the remainder of the Summer each week.

It was a beautiful day in "The Paper City," as local farmers, restaurants, and artisans gathered from 3-6 p.m. on Market Street. With the smell of the tasty treats encompassing the entire festival from the Gypsy Wagon food truck, and a few local musicians providing some background ambiance, shoppers took their time perusing all the vendors at the outdoor market and the few tables set up inside the old Zierden Building.

From area restaurant "The Forest Nook" in Cameron County to the Ridgway favorite Big Maple Farms, there were plenty of locally produced goods for the Johnsonburg and Wilcox crowd. As the growing season progresses in Elk County, expect to see more and more farmers taking advantage of this unique Farmers Market every week.

Interested vendors as asked to contact the organizers through their Facebook page to get registered for the next market.
