Once again, the Firemen's Parade will help bring to a close the annual week long carnival in downtown Ridgway.
The carnival runs from July 23 through 28 this year.
Frank Quattrone, the event organizer, is pleased with signups for the parade so far; but said there is always room for more, especially any local bands or professional organizations.
Musical acts so far confirmed include the Ridgway High School Band, the  Kittanning Firemen's Band and the Gray Knights Drum and Bugle Corps of Johnsonburg. April School of Dance will also be providing entertainment and Tri-County Karate students will be showcasing their technique and discipline.
As always, fire engines will be a large part of the parade, as well as EMS and law enforcement vehicles.
There is still room for more antique or classic vehicles, as well as any businesses that wish to participate.
Any interested parties are encouraged to visit the fire department website at rfd4.org for more information, contact numbers or to register.
The Parade line up will be at the former Motion Control building rear parking lot at the end of Gillis Avenue starting at noon July 28.
Floats and bands will be Judged as they go by the judges stand on Main Street. Awards will be announced at the money stand afterwards. The parade starts promptly at 4 p.m. The carnival opens directly after the parade.
