North Central seeking to streamline services

With increased activity and financial restraints routinely increasing, officials at the North Central Pennsylvania Regional Planning and Development Commission (NCPRPDC) are seeking to create more efficiency as they move forward."From my perspective, there is obviously a lot of activity going on, particularly those of you in the public sector who will have a strong appreciation for how difficult it is to navigate through all the uncertainty," said Eric Bridges, executive director at North Central. "Despite all that, the work still needs to get done. I want to be sure that as we do, the day-to-day business at the Commission, I want to make sure the board is actively engaged in the process. Moving forward, it's going to be even more important that the board and staff are as close to being on the same page as we possibly can. "It's really difficult to discuss strategy and long-term plans because of the environment that we're operating in, but I don't ever want to lose sight of the fact that those things that we're involved in-- those activities and projects-- do have a strategic component to that."Pick up a copy of the Thursday, March 29, 2012 edition of The Ridgway Record for more.
