Elk County has 4 PA Wilds champions

Eleven residents, business owners, and organizations from across the Pennsylvania Wilds region will be recognized later this month for their contributions helping grow the region’s nature and heritage tourism industry.
Winners include: Event of the Year Award – Ridgway Chainsaw Carvers Rendezvous – Ridgway – Elk County; Conservation Stewardship Individual Award – Jim Leonard – Weedville –Elk County; Member of the Year Award – Deborah Pontzer – Elk County; Best Brand Ambassador Award – Stephanie Distler – Johnsonburg – Elk County; Outstanding Leader Award– James H. and Shirley A. Maguire Family – Lock Haven – Clinton County; Great Places Award – City of Warren – Warren – Warren County; Conservation Stewardship Organization Award – Bucktail Watershed Association; Great Design Award – Subway New Bethlehem – New Bethlehem – Clarion County; Artisan of the Year – Steve Getz – Lock Haven – Clinton County; Inspiring Youth Award – Marlene Lellock – Punxsutawney – Jefferson County; and Business of the Year Award – Flickerwood Wine Cellars – Kane – McKean County
