Johnsonburg baseball comes up one run short against DCC

JOHNSONBURG – One more hit at the right time and Johnsonburg could've had a happier ending to Tuesday's game with DCC.
Johnsonburg baseball could not get the clutch hit when needed and fell 3-2 to DuBois Central Catholic Tuesday afternoon at Knothole Park in Johnsonburg.

DCC's Riley Assalone has solid outing to shut down Johnsonburg Ramettes, 13-3

JOHNSONBURG – DuBois Central Catholic sophomore Riley Assalone shut down Johnsonburg for the second time in eight days with a 13-3 six-inning win Tuesday in Johnsonburg.
Assalone struck out five of the first six batters she faced and didn't allow a baserunner until the fourth inning with one out. She finished with 10 strikeouts in the win. She beat the Ramettes 7-1 last Wednesday in DuBois.

Johnsonburg track and field hosts tri-meet

The Elk County Catholic track and field teams competed in a tri-meet at Johnsonburg with Kane on Tuesday afternoon.
In the girls meet, ECC won with 92 points followed by Kane with 42 and Johnsonburg with 39.
In the boys meet, Kane won with 88 points followed by ECC with 50 and Johnsonburg 48.

Johnsonburg baseball uses strong pitching for 5-2 win over Kane

WILCOX – Johnsonburg baseball defeated Kane for the third time in five days as the Rams defeated the Wolves 5-2 Monday afternoon at Jones Township Community Park in Wilcox.
Although the Rams picked up the win, Johnsonburg coach Jeff Peterson said he was not pleased with the way the Rams hit the ball against Kane.
