Helen M. Pavlock, 88, of 209 Glen Mayo, Johnsonburg, died Thursday evening, Nov. 4, 2010 at Elk Regional Health Center in St. Marys.
She was born on Dec. 23, 1921 in Cleveland, Ohio, daughter of the late Louis and Mary Machcoviak Majewski.
On Oct. 25, 1941, she married Bernard R. Pavlock, who preceded her in death on Oct. 24, 1988.
Formerly of Cleveland, Ohio, she resided in the Johnsonburg community for the past 68 years. She was a graduate of John Adams High School in Cleveland and a member of Holy Rosary Church in Johnsonburg and the Rosary Altar Society. She had been employed by Dr. Minteer as a bookkeeper, and had formerly worked at the Market Basket, Notarianni's Grocery, Stackpole and the Johnsonburg Municipal Authority, all in Johnsonburg; Manno Corp. and Ridgway Hospital in Ridgway; and Sylvania and Sears in St. Marys.
She is survived two sons, Richard S. Pavlock and his wife, Mary, of St. Marys; and Robert L. Pavlock and his wife, Susan, of Burley, Idaho; six grandchildren, Bernie, Doug and Scott Pavlock, Amy Layton, Rose Beach and Steven Pavlock; and six great-grandchildren, Henry Pavlock, Kolby and Kamille Pavlock, Mackenzie and Cade Layton and Alexandra Beach.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Robald J. Pavlock; a brother, Chester Kolojek; and two sisters, Martha Jezierski and Adeline Pivinski.
A Mass of Christian Burial for the late Helen M. Pavlock will be conducted at Holy Rosary Church on Monday, Nov. 8 at 10 a.m. with the Rev. David J. Wilson, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery in Johnsonburg.
Friends will be received at the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut St., Johnsonburg, on Sunday evening from 5 to 8 p.m.
