Online classes are currently being offered to all Pennsylvania residents through the Online Broadband and Technology Training [OBTT] program, sponsored through the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development [DCED].
Enrollment in courses opened up in February of this year and all courses will tentatively be available until the end of 2014.
Classes are designed for adult learners and are "self-instructed," according to Sheila Singer, internet technician at the North Central Pennsylvania Regional Development and Planning Commission, meaning users can take the courses at their convenience.
"People can take as many as they want. You're not limited to one or two classes. The only requirement is you complete one class before you take another," Singer said.
Over 100 courses are available including those dealing with Microsoft applications, computer security, e-marketing, business skills, project management, website development and more.
