Robert T. Wall Jr., 81, of Ridgway, died Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Christ the King Manor.
He was born on July 20, 1932 in Stump Creek, son of the late Robert T. Sr. and Lillian (Butler) Wall.
He graduated from DuBois Area High School in 1951, and was an AAV Wrestling Champion. He married Barbara Simpson of Clymer on Feb. 14, 1952.
He was a proud Korean War Veteran. He was employed by A & P Stores in DuBois, Brockway and Ridgway. He retired in 1995. He then worked at Alpine Pressed Metals and the Allegheny Coating where he retired from in March of 2013 at the age of 81.
Robert resided in Ridgway for many years and was involved in starting a Junior Olympic Wrestling Program.
He was a member of Ridgway Moose, lifetime member of VFW Post #5887, Legion, AARP member, Scottish Heights Gold Club, Laurel Hill Golf Course and Fox Township Shooting Club. He also was a member of United Methodist Church of Ridgway.
He enjoyed being with his family, hunting, fishing, golfing, trap and skeet shooting. He was an avid Penn State and Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
He is survived by his four sons: Daniel (Madonna) Wall of Spring, Texas, Donald (Sherry) Wall, Harry (Wanda) Wall and Joseph (Sharlene) Wall; two daughters, Sue (Joseph) Neubert and Dorothy Heatherdale; grandchildren Tosha Cherry, Brittanei Neubert, Shannon Dorley, Corey Heatherdale, Nathan Wall, Kylee Wall, Hunter Wall, Samantha Wall, Bailey Wall, Dylan DeCecchis and Brooke DeCecchis; several great-grandchildren; his brother, Harry (Betty) Wall of Hartville, Ohio; a nephew, Shane Wall of Darrow, La.; and a niece, Laurie Wall of Hartvilla, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents Robert T. Sr. and Lillian (Butler) Wall.
A funeral service for Robert T. Wall Jr. will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Mohney Yargar Funeral Chapel, Inc. 142 West Long Ave., DuBois, PA 15801, with Rev. John White officiating. Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
