Kenneth E. (Duck) Gasbarre Sr., 57, of 155 Main St., Ridgway, died Wednesday morning, Feb. 26, 2014, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh following a brief illness.
He was born Sept. 10, 1956, son of the late Richard G. and Zelma L. (Gearhart) Gasbarre.
He had resided in Ridgway all of his life and was a 1974 graduate of the Ridgway High School.
He enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter, going to camp, and socializing with his friends. He had been employed by Elk County Heat Treaters for the last 22 years.
He is survived by a daughter, Jessica Gasbarre of Ridgway; a son, Kenneth E. Gasbarre Jr. of Ridgway; a granddaughter, Emily Gasbarre of Ridgway; a brother, Mark (Sally) Gasbarre of Hallton; a sister, Brenda (Jeff) Seybert of Ridgway; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Memorial Service for Kenneth E. Gasbarre Sr. will be held at the Thompson Funeral Home, Ridgway, on Sunday, March 2 at 4 p.m. Officiating will be Ronald L. Burkett, Pastor of the Hallton Church.
Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens.
Friends will be received at the Thompson Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 p.m. until the time of the service at 4 p.m.
