Theodore Lindenmuth, 76, of Ridgway, died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014 at Penn Highlands Elk in St. Marys.
He was born Aug. 18, 1937 in Bigler Township, son of the late George W. and Catherine McDermott Lindenmuth.
His wife, Evelyn Edelfraud Schaffler Lindenmuth, who was originally from Augsburg, Germany, survives.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1969, and was a Vietnam era veteran. He was stationed abroad in Korea, Lebanon, and Germany, where he met his wife.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Heidemarie Stark (Larry) of Ridgway, Pamela Catherine Wright (Mark) of Ridgway; five grandchildren, Daniel Wright (Maria) of Ridgway, Timothy Wright of Beech Creek, Teddi Stark of Newport, Kelsey Stark of Ridgway, Perri Stark of Ridgway; a great-granddaughter, Aubree Grace Wright; two sisters, Doris Hewitt of Coalport, Kay Lane of Bakerton; and by many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three siblings, Jean Roman, Charles Lindenmuth and Paul Lindenmuth.
Funeral services for Theodore Lindenmuth will be held in the Meehan-Shilk Funeral Home on Wednesday, Feb. 26 at 5 p.m. Officiating will be Rev. Ronald Burkett, pastor of the Hallton Church. Interment will be in Oakmont Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home for two hours prior to the service from 3-5 p.m. Military honors will be accorded by the Ridgway Military Honor Detail.
