Carolyn Sue McDaniels, 76, of 12 Short St., Ridgway, died early Thursday morning, Dec. 19, 2013 at Pinecrest Manor following a lengthy illness.
She was born Oct. 28, 1937, in Kane, daughter of the late Edwin K. and Sybil L. (Pytcher) Galbreath. She married Patrick D. McDaniels on July 18, 1958; he survives. She had resided in Ridgway for most of her life and was a graduate of the Ridgway High School.
Sue was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church. She had been employed by the Ridgway Area School District for 35 years.
Surviving besides her husband is one daughter, Shawna Johnson and her husband Tim, of Ridgway; three grandchildren, Joshua and Nikki Johnson of Reynoldsville, Kala and Derek Bloom of Las Vegas, Nev., Timmy and Theresa Johnson of Fort Mills, S.C.; three great-grandchildren, Ace, Campbell, Cameron, and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Edwin Galbreath.
Funeral and committal services for Carolyn Sue McDaniels will be held at the Trinity United Methodist Church on Sunday, Dec. 22 at 4 p.m.
Officiating will be Rev. Roger A. Patterson, Pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Oakmont Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the Trinity United Methodist Church on Sunday from 3 p.m. until the time of the service at 4 p.m.
