Darla Jean Edwards, 63, of 10 First Mill St., Sheffield, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Monday, Jan. 14, 2013 after a brief illness.
She was born July 30, 1949 in Ridgway, daughter of the late Edward L. and Virginia Abplanalp Fulton.
She was employed by Petrex of Warren for the past 21 years. She was a very loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed the time spent with her family and playing the slots at the casino.
She is survived by three sons, John Edwards and girlfriend Joanne Majercik of Warren, William Edwards of Warren, and Donnie Edwards and fiancee' Amy Morgan of Sheffield; a daughter, Connie Blankenship and husband Dennis of Ludlow; eight grandchildren, Jonathan, Marissa and Chase Blankenship, Samuel, Edwards, Thea Kearney, Ryan Morgan, and Nakia Edwards; a great-granddaughter, Gianna Blankenship; a brother, John Kroah and wife Kathy, Kearney, Colo.; three sisters, Dora Predko and husband Theodore of Homer City, Karen Stahli and husband William of Lockport, N.Y., and Deborah Stahli of Ligonier; and special friends Noreen and Dan Griffith of Sheffield.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Garson Claire Edwards; a son, Garson Charles Edwards; a sister, Sandra Izbinski; and a brother, Roger Fulton.
There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at the Sheffield United Methodist Church, Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Dennis Johnson, pastor officiating. Burial will follow in Sheffield Cemetery.
