Borough waits to abate property

Johnsonburg, Pa. – After declaring a residence at the west end of Johnsonburg a public nuisance, the Johnsonburg Borough Council took further action during Monday's meeting to abate the property. On Aug. 22, a fire at 208 Church St. destroyed a single-stall garage, four residential structures and a vehicle. The residence, owned by Albert Lee Abplanalp, sustained the most damage, as the fire originated in a detached single-stall garage at the property and spread to the main residence situated several feet away.
