Michael R. DeVallance, 41, of 1245 13th St., N.W., Washington, D.C., died Saturday morning, Oct. 6, 2012 at his residence following a short illness.
He was born on Feb. 13, 1971 in Ridgway, son of Robert N. and Joyce Marrone DeVallance of Johnsonburg, who survive.
He resided in the Washington, D.C. area since 1997. He graduated from Johnsonburg Area High School in 1989 and from Clarion University of Pennsylvania in 1995.
He was a member of Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg. He had been employed by Wright USA for the past five years and owned and operated Meeting RX for the past 10 years. He had owned "The Sugarcane" flower shop in Johnsonburg for the past two years.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a maternal step-grandmother, Ruth Marrone of Johnsonburg; two brothers, Christopher DeVallance and his wife Shannon of Ridgway, and Jason DeVallance of Orlando, Fla; two nephews, Alec and Carson DeVallance; a niece, Gianna DeVallance; and several aunts and uncles.
He was predeceased by paternal grandparents Robert and Carol DeVallance, and maternal grandparents Robert and Mary Horchen Marrone.
Funeral services for Michael R. DeVallance will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date.
Interment will be held at Holy Rosary Cemetery, Johnsonburg. There will be no visitation.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut St., Johnsonburg.
