James R. "Jim" Logue Jr., 76, of DuBois, died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012 at his residence following a brief illness.
He was born March 9, 1936, in Brockway, son of the late James R. Sr. and Olevia (Kopp) Logue.
On Jan. 2, 1960, he married Rita M. (Perry) Logue, who survives.
Jim was a graduate of Brockway High School and a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church in DuBois.
He was the retired former owner of Logue’s Insurance Agency in Brockway. He also did sign painting, piano tuning and had a nightclub band for many years called "The Sounds of Music."
He liked sharing his musical talents with local nursing homes, painting pictures, telling jokes, and enjoying time with friends and family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Pamela and her husband Al Simmons of Florida, Steve and his wife Debbie Esola Logue of Pittsburgh, Greg and his wife Jodi McGowan Logue of Ridgway, and Chrissi and her husband Ken Loweranitis of Clearfield; a sister, Rita Ann Pinchock of Brockway; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Marci A. Logue.
Services for James R. "Jim" Logue Jr. will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012 at 11 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Church in DuBois, with Fr. David Foradori officiating. Burial will take place in Morningside Cemetery.
Public visiting will be held on Monday, Oct. 1 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday, Oct. 2 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Leo Nedza Funeral Home in DuBois.
