Ridgway girls golf hosted the first of two scheduled home matches Thursday afternoon at Laurel Mill Golf Course.
Ridgway, DuBois, Brookville, Punxsutawney, Brockway and Curwensville all competed at Laurel Mill.
For Ridgway, senior Logan Feronti led the team with a score of 60. Sam Carobine and Sarah Szczotka each carded scores of 68 and Shania Reitz finished with a score of 80 to round out the top four scores that counted as Ridgway finished with a team score of 276. Beth Renaud carded a score of 82 and Emily Spiers had a mark of 88.
“This was the lowest team round of the year with a 276 which is 30 strokes lower than our average,” Ridgway coach Gary Gerber II said. “We had several golfers with their season lows [Thursday] at our home course. Logan with a 60, Sarah with a 68, Sam with a 68, Shania with an 80, and Beth with an 82 all had season lows. They have been all working hard to improve their games and it is starting to pay off. Also scoring [Thursday] was Emily with an 88. All the girls had nice shots now we just need to work on consistency. I am very pleased with the progress of the girls.”
Punxsutawney had the top team score with a mark of 206. Audrianna Delacour was the Lady Chucks’ top golfer as she carded a 49.
Kelsey Heinrich of Brookville also had a 49 as Brookville had the second best team score of the six with 214 strokes.
Julia Test of Curwensville had the top individual score of all golfers with a score of 48.
Ridgway is scheduled to play at DuBois for a 3 p.m. match Tuesday.
