Andrew C. Reigle, age 82, of 62 Steis Dr., Ridgway, passed away on Friday, Aug. 24, 2012, at his residence following a short illness.
He was born on Dec. 16, 1929 in Sandusky, Ohio, son of the late Ralph and Dorothy (Brauer) Reigle of Florida.
On July 17, 1948, he married Bettie Henry who still resides at their home in Ridgway. They lived in Pennsylvania for 25 years and owned the Shelvey Summit Ski Lodge. They then moved to Key Largo, Fla. for 20 years where Andrew loved to boat and fish. They moved back to Pennsylvania to be closer to their family.
Andrew was a union carpenter for 50 years, and a 32nd degree Mason. After retiring they traveled the country.
Andrew leaves behind a son, Lon Reigle along with Janice King of Kersey; a daughter, Lynn Greenawalt along with Jim Dutka of Ridgway; a very special sister-in-law, Mrs. Karolee Hughes with husband Gene, as Andy being an only child he thought of her as his sister. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Tracey (Calvin) Robinson, Andy (Michele) Reigle II, Taryn (Mike) Jones, and Waylon (Amanda) Reigle; five great-grandchildren, Tyler Robinson, Katerra Runyan, Kaylin Runyan, Noel Reigle, and Sophia Reigle; three step-grandchildren, James, Jeorgia, and Brett; and two nieces and two nephews living in Florida.
There will be no visitation or memorial service. All donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Thompson Funeral Home.
