Matchups announced for state Legion tournament

Wilcox will play Ephrata in the first game of the American Legion state tournament.

The Wilcox American Legion baseball team will open the state tournament on Tuesday against Region 4 champion Ephrata out of Lancaster County.
The Wilcox-Ephrata matchup is the second of four games on Tuesday. The nightcap is between Region 3 champion Spring City (Chester County) and host Boyertown (Berks County). Those two matchups are on the same side of the bracket.
The tournament opens up Tuesday morning as Region 7 champion Hempfield East (District 31) takes on Region 2 champion Doylestown.
Penn Hills (Allegheny East) will play Milton (West Branch) in the third game of the day.
The double-elimination tournament lasts until Saturday in Boyertown.
