WILCOX – The Jones Township Supervisors adopted the 2012 budget during the regular meeting Monday night.
Supervisor Laurie Storrar reported a general fund budget of about $650,000 without a tax increase for the upcoming year.
The real estate tax will remain at 6.6 mills and the occupation tax will remain at 14 mills.
Supervisors discussed a joint meeting that was held with Al Vanderpoel of E&M Engineers and Thomas Wagner of Meyer & Wagner, on Dec. 8 concerning the seven Elk County Municipalities that need to address the Federal Emergency Management Agency's [FEMA] Plan B Ordinance.
"The ordinance has several options that can be incorporated into the plan, however the majority of municipalities want to keep it as simple and less restrictive as possible," DePonceau said.
Storrar said the plan is nonnegotiable.
