GREENSBURG – Seton Hill Griffin junior Brianna Bush took home medalist honors from the Sally Carroll Open which was hosted by Seton Hill University at Hannastown GC. The Griffin team finished second behind the winner Northwood (MI). The two day event concluded with the final round on Monday afternoon.
Bush took home medalist honors after shooting 79 on Sunday and coming back with a second round 78. Bush was two shots better than Northwood’s Brittany Davidson who was second with a two day total of 159. SHU’s Ashley Ward also earned All Tournament Team honors, finishing in sixth place with a score of 172. Nina Gonzalez was tied for seventh with a 173, Morgan Miller tied for ninth with a 175 and Chelsea Sipes was 12th with a two day total of 178. Northwood’s team finished the event with a team score of 662, thirteen shots better than the second place Griffins.
The Griffins will return to the course for the WVIAC conference championships this weekend at Canaan Valley Resort.

In addition to winning the Sally Carroll Open, Bush was named WVIAC Women’s Golfer of the Week.
