Glen R. Forsythe, age 90, of 25 Penn Ave., Ridgway, died Friday morning at Highland View Health Care. He was born May 1, 1921 in Pittsburgh son of the late Charles and Hilda Forsythe. He had lived in Ridgway for the last 28 years and was Protestant by Faith. He had served in the U.S. Navy and was a Korean War veteran. He was a self-employed construction worker for many years.
He is survived by one son, Larry Forsythe and his wife Charmaine of North Huntington; two granddaughters, Annette Kinnel and her husband Steven of North Huntington; Marie Mowry and her husband Patrick of North Huntington; two grandsons, Steven Mowry and Benjamin Kinnel; five stepdaughters, Missy Bush and her husband Greg of Ridgway, Sandy Zawatski and her husband Don of Ridgway, Laura Oknefski of Brockport, Barb Mack and her husband Roy of Benezette, Lorraine Saline and her husband Keith of Treasure Lake; five step-grandchildren, Corey, Kyle, Colt, Heather and Ryan. Besides his parents we was preceded in death by his longtime companion Josephine L. Motter and son Timothy Forsythe.
Funeral Services for Glen R. Forsythe will be held at the Thompson Funeral Home Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Military Honors accorded by the Rev. David C. Roddy, pastor of the Trinity United Methodist Church.
Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Gardens. Friends will be received at the Thompson Funeral Home on Tuesday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of the Service at 11 a.m.
