Margaret Agnes Lussky, 94, of Jenks Street, Brookville, died Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Jefferson Manor in Brookville.
She was born on Feb. 16, 1917 in Byrnedale, daughter of the late James O’Neill and Agnes O’Donnell O’Neill.
On Feb. 3, 1940, in Waynesburg, she married Louis L. Lussky, who preceded her in death on Nov. 23, 1996.
In her younger years, she worked for the Produce Yards in Pittsburgh, and later as an office clerk for Matson Insurance Co. in Brookville.
She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Brookville, where she was a member of the Altar Rosary Society. She was active with the Heritage House in Brookville, cruised the Caribbean and Europe and enjoyed travel in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. She especially loved her family, religion and her community.
She is survived by two sons, L. Mark Lussky of Brookville and Joseph J. Lussky of Brentwood; and numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. She was the last member of her immediate family.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jack O'Neill; and three sisters, Eleanor Lutz, Mary Brennen and Rose Fledderman.
A funeral service for Margaret Agnes Lussky was held Friday, April 29 at 10 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church in Brookville, with the Rev. William Laska officiating. Interment took place at the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Rose Township, Jefferson County.
