Thomas Alvin Terwilliger, 82, of 19 Hiram St., Brookville, died Friday, March 4, 2011 at the Veterans Hospital in Oakland.
He was born December 5, 1928 in Cadogan Township, son of the late Homer and Mildred Bortz Terwilliger.
He had made his home with Judith Baumgratz for many years. She preceded him in death in 1997.
He was Methodist by faith and enjoyed hunting, camping and especially fishing as well as spending time with his family.
He had been employed at Stackpole Carbon as a die setter. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, having served during the Korean War.
He is survived by a sister, Mary Cable of Brookville, four brothers: Aaron "Bun" Terwilliger of Reynoldsville, Rufus and Melvin "Mick" Terwilliger, both of Brookville, and William Terwilliger of Brockway; and by many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Charles and Clever "Clee" Terwilliger.
Funeral services for Thomas Alvin Terwilliger will be held Wednesday at Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc., 1033 4th Ave., Brockway, at 8 p.m. Church Elder Michael Caldwell will be officiating. Burial will take place at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in St. Marys.
Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
