Doris J. Kusbit, 81, of O'Hara Township died Thursday afternoon, Dec. 30, 2010 at The Willows at Oakmont following a short illness.
She was a resident of O'Hara Township since 1980.
She was born July 25, 1929 in Vandergrift, daughter of the late Albert and Ethel (Bailey) Carter.
She married Rudolph R. Kusbit of O'Hara Township. He survives.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Altar Guild at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church at Fox Chapel and she volunteered at the Glade Run Lutheran Facility in Zelienople.
She is survived by four children-- three daughters, Sharon (James) Johnson of Crofton, Md., Terri (Thomas) Bates of Gahanna, Ohio and Susan Kusbit of O'Hara Township; one son, Keith Kusbit of O'Hara Township; five grandchildren, Russel and Virginia Johnson, Nathan Bates and Matthew and Daniel Kusbit; and one brother, Albert (Mary Carter) of Cabot.
Friends were received from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Monday.
Funeral services for Doris J. Kusbit will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church at Fox Chapel, 1610 Powers Run Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15238.
In lieu of flowers the family respectfully suggests memorial contributions to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church at Fox Chapel.
