The Ridgway Borough Council, joined by members of the YMCA board of directors and other renovation project representatives, met at the Courthouse Annex Wednesday afternoon to discuss the possible role of the Ridgway Borough in the YMCA's upcoming $1.6 million renovation project.
In late 2013, the YMCA received notification from Governor Tom Corbett that they had been approved for an $800,000 grant through the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program [RACP].
The project will nearly triple the size of the existing fitness room and also entails the construction of a new pool, which currently is not wheelchair accessible through any of the existing doorways.
