CAPSEA, Inc. [Citizens Against Physical, Sexual and Emotional Abuse] has conveniently-placed Wish List drop-off boxes at three Northwest Savings Bank locations as part of an annual drive to assist in supplying abuse victims staying in the Ridgway shelter with the basic necessities.
Wish List drop-off boxes are located at the Ridgway, St. Marys and Johnsonburg Northwest Savings Bank office locations.
"This year, with the funding cuts that we have experienced to date, proceeds from our Second Annual Polar Sweet Express will be greatly accepted and appreciated, especially when it costs an average of $70 a month to keep our shelter supplied for victims and their children," said CAPSEA Executive Director Billie Jo Weyant.
Wish List items include household items, cleaning supplies, paper products, food, gift cards for victims, and both drug store and children's needs.
For a full listing of wish list items or for additional updates please visit or contact CAPSEA at 814-772-3838 or 814-486-1227.
Weyant hopes to receive enough donations from the Wish List boxes to provide enough supplies to victims for the 2012 year.
"There is never a day when there is an empty shelter," Weyant said. ""Wish list items and monetary donations received from the Polar Sweet Express last year replenished things lost in the flood and supplied our shelter through October 2011."
