Winifred E. Bowler

Winifred E. Bowler, 92, of State College, formerly of Pittsburgh and Ridgway, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 7, 2011 at the Hearthside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in State College.
Born on July 1, 1919 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Winifred (Walker) Mole.
On March 17, 1945 in Brisbane, she was married to Robert E. Bowler, who preceded her in death on Dec. 12, 1996.
Mrs. Bowler was employed as a Unit Secretary at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh where she retired in 1982.
She enjoyed knitting and crocheting especially for her family, and also spent time crafting and gardening.
She is survived by three daughters, Nanette Casciola (Glenn) of State College, Margaret Frey (Paul) of Wexford, and Diane Bowler Leithner of Ridgway; one son, Robert Bowler of Ridgway; nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Janette McClements.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Ennichment will occur at Allegheny Cemetery in Pittsburgh.
