JOHNSONBURG – Uni-Tec engineer Dan Guss reported that the wastewater treatment plant is complete and in operation during Tuesday night's Johnsonburg Municipal Authority meeting.
"The plant is complete, is in operation, and is producing high quality effluent and biosolids," Guss said.
According to Guss, the plant has been in full operation since May 31.
A number of contractor punch list items remain to be completed.
"The punch list items remaining do not inhibit plant operation and are, on a relative basis, minor items," Guss said.
Uni-Tec is in the process of closing out their activities on the project and estimates $21,000 of anticipated costs to complete the work.
Guss reported that the total project costs will stay within budget provided costs for extra engineering due to the delay are deducted from the general contractor's retainage.
The total projected budget as of April 19 is $14,319,088. The project has incurred costs of $14,299,944.21 as of Oct. 1.
The incurred construction costs include retainage of $543,939.65 on the McCrossin contract.
