Lucille E. Dias, 88, formerly of Montmorenci Road, Ridgway, died on Sunday, March 14, 2010, at Pinecrest Manor.
She was born on Aug. 2, 1921, in Ridgway, daughter of Acie and Margaret Ott Shilk.
On Aug. 7, 1943, she married Eugene C. Dias, who predeceased her on Sept. 19, 1991.
She had resided in Ridgway for most of her life. She was a member of the Faith Church. She had been employed at Elk County General Hospital for 25 years, retiring in 1991.
She is survived by four children, Marlene Delhunty (Richard); Evelyn MacDonald (Edward); Gary Dias (Vicki); and Joey Dias, all of Ridgway; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and by a sister, Margerie Dippold of Clearfield.
She was predeceased by her parents, husband, and by a sister, Shirley Sheehan.
A Memorial Service for Lucille Dias will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2010, at 11 a.m. in the Meehan-Shilk Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. John Smith. Interment will be in Ott Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday morning for one hour prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Elk County Humane Society, 1029 Eschbach Road, St. Marys, PA 15857. |
