Event set for Saturday at The Royal Inn.
By Becky Polaski Staff Writer The Elk Country Chapter of the Keystone Elk Country Alliance is gearing up to hold their inaugural banquet on Saturday, March 27 at The Royal Inn in Ridgway. Doors are scheduled to open at 3 p.m. and dinner will be served at 5 p.m. The keynote speaker for the banquet will be Rawley Cogan, project manager for the Elk Country Visitor Center and Elk Mountain Homestead. Nashville recording artist Jerry Schickling will provide live music during the event and attendees will also be informed about the Elk Country Visitor Center Paver Program. A variety of membership options are available for anyone wishing to join the Alliance. More information on the banquet can be found by calling 814-669-4804 or visiting the organization’s Web site at www.experienceelkcountry.com. The Alliance held its inaugural banquet in Erie on Jan. 30 and several other chapters have banquets scheduled in the coming weeks. Cogan noted that the inaugural banquet went over very well. “When we were on stage and we would talk about how all the money [raised by the Alliance] stays in Pennsylvania the audience was applauding,” Cogan said. “They were happy about that.” Other upcoming banquets are scheduled for Saturday, March 13 in Indiana and Saturday, March 20 in Warren. |
