JOHNSONBURG – Former county employee Stephanie A. Kilhoffer of 609 W. Main St., Ridgway appeared in District Justice George A. “Tony” King’s office yesterday morning and waived her preliminary hearing.
Kilhoffer faces charges of theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and theft by failure to make required disposition of funds received stemming from a Ridgway Police Department investigation into the Elk County Tax Claim Bureau where Kilhoffer was employed as Office Manager.
The complaint, filed by Ridgway Police Department, alleges that Kilhoffer committed the offenses between March of 2007 and May of 2009 totaling $36,788.18.
Kilhoffer had an arraignment hearing on Oct. 27 in King’s office in Johnsonburg. She was released on $10,000 unsecured bail.
