Rick Viglione, Main Street Manager, displays free admission vouchers to the Chainsaw Carvers Rendezvous. Vouchers for free admission to the Chainsaw Carvers Rendezvous will once again be distributed this year by local businesses. The vouchers will be distributed by local businesses starting next week and will be valid for the dates of Feb. 23 and 24, the last weekend of the Rendezvous.
Businesses will give customers vouchers in order to honor and reward them for their loyalty. All retailers in the downtown area will be participating and anyone shopping in Ridgway over the next week will receive a voucher. According to Rick Viglione, Main Street Manager, “the vouchers were created in order to reward the people that live and shop in Ridgway everyday. The vouchers are a way to thank the people for shopping in town and for dealing with the increased traffic during the Rendezvous.” In order to use a voucher, the customer must simply show the voucher they received from the business and they will be granted free admission to the Rendezvous. There is no limit on the amount of vouchers that will be distributed by businesses and vouchers will be given to different businesses based on the necessary amount. “Since 95 percent of people in Ridgway will be downtown the week before the Rendezvous, we really didn’t put a limit on the [number of vouchers]”, Viglione said. There is no limit because, “individuals definitely did appreciate [the vouchers] last year.” |
