Elections set for Tuesday |

Election day slated for Tuesday, Nov. 3
Tuesday is election day and polls will open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. There are several races of interest in Elk County. Two county-wide positions are up for election. Current District Attorney Bradley J. Kraus is running unopposed for another 4-year term. Kraus is running on both Democratic and Republican parties. Two citizens are running for Jury Commissioner, also a 4-year term. Jermone Jerry Olson is running Democratic, while Janis E. Kemmer is running under the Republican ticket. With current Ridgway mayor James D. Martin choosing to not run again for election, G. Udarbe, who is running Democratic and Republican, is on the ballot for the 4-year term. The 4-year Tax Collector seat is up for grabs with Bob Connacher, Democratic, and Keith A. Mader Jr., Republican, running for the position. Borough Council features six on the ballot. Nina Stolburg is running Democratic and Republican, while Heather S. Mader, Ralph Dussia and Anthony Santiso are listed as Democratic. John Casolo Jr. and James R. Snyder Jr. are both running Republican. Also on the ballot is Ridgway School Board with four on the ballot all running Democratic and Republican, including Lucy MacDonald Bobby, Lisa M. Connelly, Gloria B. Almquist and William A. Seely. In Fox Township, Debbie Beimel Sheeley is running Democratic for Tax Collector and Vondalee Swanson is running under the Republican ticket. The position is a 4-year term. Two are running for supervisor, which carries a 6-year term. Dave Mattiuz is running under Democratic, while Cheryl A. Ruffner is running Republican. Also in the township, the 4-year Ridgway School Board post is up for grabs with four people on the ballot. Lucy MacDonald Bobby, Lisa M. Connelly, Gloria B. Almquist and William A. Seely are all running Democratic and Republican. In Jay Township, two are running for the supervisor position, which is a 6-year term. Francis Gustafson is running Democratic, while Robert R. Coppolo is running under the Republican ticket. The Ridgway Township Tax Collector is up for grabs with two people running for the post. Gale M. Clark, Democratic, and Shauna I. Miller, Republican, are both running for the 4-year position. Four are running for Ridgway School Board under the Democratic and Republican tickets. Lucy MacDonald Bobby, Lisa M. Connelly, Gloria B. Almquist and William A. Seely are running for positions on the board. In Johnsonburg, mayor David Zilkofski is running unopposed for the 4-year term under the Democratic ticket. Trina Parana DeStephano, Democratic, and Kenneth P. Polaski, Republican, are running for the Tax Collector position, which is a 4-year term. For Borough Council, Louis A. Imbrogno, Harriet Stahli and Alfred Aljoe Maletto are on the ballot for Democratic, while Ronald King and J.R. James DePanfilis is running Republican. The City of St. Marys mayor race features two on the ballot for the 4-year term the office carries. Denny Nero is running Democratic, while Marcella Sally Geyer is running Republican. City Council also features two on the ballot, including Dick Dornisch, Republican, and Daniel T. Hepner, Republican. |
