WILCOX – The Jones Twp. Municipal Authority discussed matters pertaining to bills and equipment at last night’s meeting at the authority offices beside the Wilcox Post Office.
Vice Chairman Jim Abbey presided over the 45-minute long meeting. After quick approval of the minutes, the acting chairman asked about a peculiar item on the listing of bills.
On the request for payment under the Treasurer’s Report, Abby inquired as to Flomotion Systems in the amount of $1,017.60.
“What’s the converter/transmitter, Flomotion, that’s the first time I’ve seen that name?” Abbey asked.
Inspector Bob Johnson elaborated on the item and the cost attached to it.
“That’s the meter for when we go into Johnsonburg. We took a lightning shock down there back in August. They are still trying to get it working right. Flomotion is supposed to come in and supposed to put a test meter down there to see if it is working properly,” Johnson said.
On the Inspector’s Report, Johnson also updated members on the rebuilt pump.
“We got the pump that we got rebuilt back in service and working,” Johnson said. “We ordered the new one.”
The authority also addressed unpaid bills from residents. There was one disconnect through a tax sale and the balance will be paid. A couple accounts were sent to Solicitor Tom Wagner, one will have a lien placed on it and a letter will be sent to another.
