Ridgway Township awards bid for anti-skid |

The Ridgway Township Supervisors awarded a bid to JM DeLullo Stone Sales Inc. for anti-skid at a cost of $16.80 per ton.

RIDGWAY TOWNSHIP – The Ridgway Township Supervisors opened their meeting yesterday afternoon with the award of the bid for 800 tons of one B anti-skid limestone. The bid was awarded to JM DeLullo Stone Sales Inc. for $16.80 a ton. Supervisor John Gardner commented on recent questions about Elk Drive in regards to the paving project. Gardner said that the engineers have already documented it and Greenland has been notified. Under new business on the agenda was the township's 2009 minimum municipal obligation towards the pension plan which is estimated to be around $5,874. Sandy Beach Recreational Park recently received a $17,400 grant from Stackpole Hall for playground equipment, benches, wood-chips, signs, black-topped parking space, concrete slabs, and pathways. The paths have been completed with full access to pavilion No. 2. Also, a bracelet was found at the park and the owner may claim it at the township office. Fall clean up will be on Thursday and Friday, Sept. 25–26 from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m., and Sept. 27 from 7 a.m. till noon. The dumpster for electronics will only be available Thursday, Sept. 25 from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Supervisor Sarah Dickinson gave the steering committee report. Dickinson said that the preservation conference went well, Main Street is coming along, and prospect of some industry, and there has been a sale up on Boot Jack. |
