NRA SIlhouette Championships conclude smallbore standard rifle and smallbore hunting rifle.

Agustin Sanchez Jr. of Riverside, Calif. won the NRA smallbore hunting rifle national championship as the competition concluded Tuesday at the Ridgway Rifle Club.
Tuesday was the third and final day of the competition in which each shooter had 10 shots at  targets resembling a chicken, a turkey, a ram and a pig. Each shooter had 40 shots over the 3-day period.
Sanchez Jr. set a new national record with his winning score of 115. A score of 120 is a perfect score for the competition and this championship complements his smallbore standard rifle championship.
Cathy Winstead-Severin of Joplin, Mo. was second overall and the top women's finisher with a score of 111. Matthew Everingham of Australia was third overall with a score of 104. He was the Junior Champion as well.
John Shaw of Blackwood, N.J. was the Senior Champion with a score of 93. Kolby Rasmussen of Lavaca, Ark. was the Intermediate Junior Champion with a score of 103. Luke Johnson of Marysville was the sub-junior champion with a score of 95 and Walter Winget of Peoria, Ill. was the Super Senior champion with a score of 74.
Derek Greenaway of Howard was the overall Master Class champion with a score of 103. Rasmussen was second with a 103 and Joy Cox of Phoenix, Ariz. took third with a score of 103. Laura Goetsch of Whites Creek, Tenn. was fourth with a score of 103 and Paul Davis of Vancouver, Wash. was fifth with a score of 103. William Motl of Porter, Texas was sixth with a 103 and Reann Wilson of Bozeman, Mont. was seventh with a score of 102. Jared Perry of Porterville, Calif. was eighth with a score of 102 and Ridgway's Ben Marzella was ninth with a score of 101. Dennis Dadian of Clovis, Calif. was 10th with a 101.
Mal Smith of Australia was the AAA class champion with a score of 96. Brad Maxwell of Kitchener, Ontario, Canada was second with a 91 and B. Coates Watkins was third with a score of 89. Jorge Cigarroa of Laredo, Texas was fourth with a score of 88. Benny Grigg, Jr. of Shelby, N.C. was fifth with a score of 87 and Gary Dawson of Rochester, Mich. was sixth with a score of 83 and Dann Suthern of Australia was seventh with a score of 83. Jeffrey Thomas of Johnstown was eighth with a score of 82 and Jose Gonzalez of Mexico was ninth with a score of 80.
Tom Rains of Aurora, Colo was the AA class champion with a score of 85. David Gillispie of Reedsville, W. Va., was second with a score of 81 and Austin Bennett of Keyser, W. Va. was third with a score of 76. Robert Jodoin of Endicott, N.Y. was fourth with a score of 73. Russell Wise of Independence, W. Va., was fifth with a mark of 72 and Sawyer Spicher of Halifax was sixth with a score of 69. Alan McCullough of Cantonment, Fla. was seventh with a 69 and Neal Sundberg of Endwell, N.Y. was eighth with a score of 69. Scott Powers of Clifford, Ontario, Canada was ninth with a 68.
Rachel Rayment of Olympia, Wash. was the A class champion with a score of 72. Clifton Bennett of Keyser, W. Va. was second with a 64 and Bryson Mobley of Bozeman, Mont. was third with a 64. Jorge Velasquez of Mexico was fourth with a mark of 60 and Alberto Rivera of Mexico was fifth with a 55.
Carol Blackburn of Young Harris, Ga. was the B class champion with a score of 42.
For Tuesday's individual results, Sanchez Jr. was the matchwinner with a score of 38. Goetsch was second with a 38 and Everingham took third overall with a 36, the top junior finisher.
Goetsch was the top women's finisher for the day. Shaw was the top Senior finisher with a 29. Rasmussen was the best intermediate junior shooter for Tuesday with a 34 and Luke Johnson had a score of 32, the best sub-junior score for the day.
Winstead-Severin was the Master class winner with a score of 35. Mal Smith won AAA class with a 32 and Tom Rains took AA class with a 30. Rachel Rayment was A class with a 25 and Blackburn won B class with a 15.
The NRA National Silhouette Championships continue with the high power competitions which begin Thursday.
