JONES TWP. - The Ridgway-based State Police report investigating a crash while occurred March 12 at 7:48 a.m. along state Route 948 in Jones Township. According to police Rebecca M. Chenot, age 57, was operating a 2001 Ford Focus while traveling south on state Route 948. According to reports, Chenot lost control on the icy roadway. The vehicle traveled into the opposing lane and off the roadway. The vehicle impacted an embankment and rolled onto its roof.
Chenot was transported to St. Marys Hospital by Ridgway Ambulance Corp. for a check-up. According to police, Chenot is to answer to a citation for driving a vehicle at an unsafe speed.
