Retail theft RIDGWAY - The Ridgway Police report investigating an incident of retail theft which occurred on Nov. 29 at South Street Botanicals. According to police, a known individual removed a wallet from the store that was displayed for sale. The wallet has been recovered and the investigation is continuing.
Harassment RIDGWAY - The Ridgway Police report investigating an incident of harassment by communication. According to police, Ashley Swanson of Ridgway reported to police that she has received over 35 phone calls at all hours of the day over a three day period. Police are continuing their investigation.
Crash RIDGWAY - The Ridgway Police report investigating a crash which occurred on Nov. 30 at 7:55 a.m. According to police, a 2003 Dodge operated by Christina Ferrence of Ridgway was stopped for traffic on Main St., waiting to make a left turn into a parking lot. A 2003 Jeep operated by Melinda Elias of Ridgway failed to stop in time and struck the rear of Ferrence vehicle. There were no injuries and both vehicles were driven from the scene.
Charges filed ST. MARYS - The St. Marys City Police report that charges of theft by deception, receiving stolen property and theft by failure to make required disposition of funds received were filed on Michael D. Caskey, 30 of St. Marys. the charges stem from Caskey receiving money from a local homeowner to purchase building supplies for a job from the home owner and they Caskey not purchasing the supplies or doing any work at the work site.
Theft ST. MARYS - The St. Marys City Police report that as a result of an incident which happened on Charles St., charges of theft from a motor vehicle were filed against Joshua M. Gustafson of Ridgway. Charges were filed with District Justice Donald A. Wilhelm’s office.
DUI ST. MARYS - The St. Marys City Police report that charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or controlled substance, purchase, consumption, posession or transportation of liquor or malt brewed beverages and other traffic violations will be filed against Zachary J. Mattivi, 19, of Kersey. Charges will be filed at the office of District Judge Donald A. Wilhelm.
