Veterans remembered on Memorial Day

Area residents gathered Monday morning in Ridgway for a solemn Memorial Day parade and ceremony.
Just days removed from a flood that ravaged the town, residents came together to remember the nation's fallen heroes.
Members of the Ridgway Servicemen's Burial Detail led the parade down Main Street shortly after 10 a.m. Monday morning followed by members of the Ridgway Area High School marching band, and members of local Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops.
Fire trucks from Ridgway and Johnsonburg also took part in the parade, followed by the Ridgway Ambulance Corp.
