Two arrested in armed robbery near Kaulmont Park

ST. MARYS – The St. Marys City Police report arresting Joseph White, 19, of Johnsonburg, and Ramon Santiago, 22, of St. Marys, and charging them with two counts each of robbery, four counts of conspiracy to commit robbery, one count of theft by unlawful taking and two counts of conspiracy to commit theft by unlawful taking or disposition. According to reports taken by the police, White and Santiago robbed Alex Weis, 22, of St. Marys, and David Sette, 25, of St. Marys, at gunpoint and knifepoint in the area of Kaulmont Park sometime between 11 and 11:50 p.m. on July 5. According to the victims, White and Santiago escaped with an undetermined amount of cash and two cellphones. Both White and Santiago were arraigned in front of District Judge Brown of Emporium. Both were remanded to the Elk County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail.
