Twila J. Welsh

Twila J. Welsh, 89, of 381 RC Metals Rd., Ridgway, died Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013 at Pinecrest Manor.
She was born June 29, 1924 in Renovo, the daughter of the late Ruben and Edna Steckenfinger Scrimshaw.
She married James F. Welsh, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 8, 1991.
She was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church. Mrs. Welsh enjoyed baking, crocheting, crafts, and her camp in Cross Forks.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Lewis of Ridgway; 11 grandchildren, Lori Lewis of Ridgway, Connie Coleson-Popson of Brockway, Lisa Smith (Richard) of Portland Mills, Donald Lewis (Chay) of Portland Mills, John Lewis of Ridgway, Tammy Paropacic (Tom) of St. Marys, Donna Paropacic (Jeff) of St. Marys, James Welsh III (Stephanie) of Johnsonburg, Amber Welsh of Rasselas, Heather Welsh of St. Marys, and Shawna Welsh of St. Marys; 25 great-grandchildren; a sister, Dessie Lininger of Emporium; and a niece, Rosemary Morz (Teddy) of Philadelphia.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, James Welsh; a grandson, Todd Lewis; a son-in-law, Richard C. Lewis; a daughter-in-law, Jean Welsh; a sister, Larue Harger; and by three brothers, Alfred, Marvin, and George Scrimshaw.
Funeral services for Twila J. Welsh will be held at the convenience of the family.
Interment will be in North Bend Cemetery in Renovo.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Meehan-Shilk Funeral Home.
