Trio advance to regionals from District 9 boys golf championship

BRADFORD – A trio of area golfers have qualified for the PIAA Western Regional Golf Championships after the conclusion of the District 9 boys golf individual championships Saturday at The Pennhills Club in Bradford.
Elliott Struble of Elk County Catholic finished second for the second straight year as he finished with a two-day total of 154 (76-78). Cameron Grumley of Johnsonburg tied for third with a total score of 156 (79-77).
TJ Schlimm of Ridgway finished tied for sixth with a score of 159 (78-81).
Kade Logue of Cameron County won the district championship with a two-day total of 153 (78-75). His 75 on Saturday was the low round of the 15 Class AA competitors and would have also been the best score among Class AAA competitors.
