Thomas G. Schreiber, 69, of 1127 E. Eschbach Rd., St. Marys, died Friday, Dec. 2, 2011 at the Christ the King Manor in DuBois as a result of an automobile accident that occurred on Nov. 14, 2011.
He was born Aug. 31, 1942, in St. Marys, son of the late Ambrose and Bertha Brem Schreiber. On July 18, 1970, in the St. Boniface Church in Kersey, he married Connie M. Lorenzini and she survives.
He was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of St. Marys High School, Class of 1960. He was a retired employee of Quality Components, retiring in 2001 after 41 years of service. He was a member of the St. Mary's Church, had served in the Army Reserves; loved the outdoors, hunting, and gardening; enjoyed playing cards; and loved life and his family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a sister, Mary Jo Burfield of St. Marys; a sister-in-law, Ellen Schreiber of St. Marys; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Martha Greenthaner and in infancy Helen Schreiber; and by two brothers, Robert Schreiber and Walter Schreiber.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Thomas G. Schreiber will be celebrated in the St. Mary's Church on Tuesday, Dec. 6 at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Meinrad Lawson, OSB, as celebrant. Full military rites will be accorded by the St. Marys Servicemen's Burial Detail.
Burial will follow in the St. Mary's Cemetery.
Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m.
