Terry L. Dietrick, 57, of 7 West Cardott St., Ridgway, died early Saturday morning, May 29, 2011 at DuBois Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.
He was born March 19, 1954 in Ridgway, son of John P. and Charlotte L. (Lundin) Dietrick, who survive. On Nov. 2, 1974, he married Donna S. (Stauffer) Dietrick, who survives.
He had resided in Ridgway all his life and was a 1972 graduate of Ridgway High School. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, the Jaycees, and served as the American Cancer Society Relay for Life chairman. He coached and was active in many of the sports programs in Ridgway. He was the radio voice of the Ridgway Elkers and the voice of the Ridgway Firemen's Parade, was a member of the Ridgway Elks, loved the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers, and was a member of the Man to Man Prostate Cancer Support Group.
He had been employed by Alpha Sintered Metals for 17 years and was a radio announcer for B94 for 35 years.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by a son, Adam S. Dietrick of DuBois; three daughters, Jennifer L. Mask and her husband Reed of Elizabethtown, Randee Jo Dietrick and her companion Chris of Springfield, Va., and Angela R. Dietrick and her fiancee Thomas of St. Marys; four grandchildren, Kimberly, Westin, Laney, and Landon; brothers and sisters, Charles Dietrick and his wife Brenda of Ridgway, Pam Uber and her husband Dave of Ridgway, John Dietrick and his wife Sue of Rochester, N.Y., Todd Dietrick and his wife Lamis of Anaheim, Calif., and Diane Zelcs and her husband Gene of Ridgway; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.
Funeral and committal services for Terry L. Dietrick will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church today at 2 p.m. Officiating will be the Rev. David C. Roddy, pastor. Burial will follow at Oakmont Cemetery.
The Thompson Funeral Home, Ridgway, was in charge of the arrangements.
