JOHNSONBURG – The Johnsonburg Borough Council held a budget workshop on Wednesday in the Johnsonburg Borough building to start to discuss the budget which needs to be established for next year.
Among the heavily discussed items were the purchase of a new police vehicle, community improvement in the form of grass cutting for properties in the borough that aren't maintained, and the hiring of several new employees in the borough.
"The purpose of the meeting this evening is to discuss our budget, and try to put something together so [Borough Manager] Mary [Polaski] has some kind of working idea of what we are going to do, what we want to do and what we can't do," said Council President Aljoe Maletto.
