Support builds for Highland injection well fight

JAMES CITY – Highland Township has received more support in its fight against a proposed injection well for the disposal of drilling waste fluids.
The Elk County Board of Commissioners and the Ridgway Township Board of Supervisors both are backing Highland in a battle that could wind up in a courtroom.
County Commissioners June Sorg, Janis Kemmer and Daniel Freeburg said in a letter they "confirm our opposition to the creation and usage of disposal injection wells within the borders of Elk County."
