Summer Camp ends on high note

The Ridgway YMCA recently held another successful Summer Camp by having a cookout last week at Bendigo State Park.
"We received a donation from the RHS [Ridgway High School] Alumni Association a couple months ago," said Mary Lynne Bellotti, executive director of the Ridgway YMCA, "and I knew exactly what I was going to do with the donation, give it back to the kids."
Each camper received a YMCA backpack with back to school supplies. The kids were excited to receive the backpacks and we were happy that the YMCA was able to give the backpacks and supplies to them.  
"Donations are so important to the Ridgway YMCA," Bellotti said. "It allows us to do extra things like this that we are unable to put into our budget."
This year, the YMCA was home for approximately 28 to 36 local youth on a daily basis.
